February 28, 2026 - The Romblon Girl Scout Council celebrated its 75th anniversary of continuing women’s leadership and community service, recognizing 75 outstanding women of the province who trace their roots to Girl Scouting. President Mani was awarded as one of the 75 Outstanding Women of Romblon.

The event, held at Ramon Magsaysay Park in Capaclan, Romblon, carried the theme “75 Years of Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders.”
The program featured the awarding of plaques and tokens to the 75 honorees—former and current Girl Scouts selected for their exemplary contributions across various fields, including education, governance, and community development.

Among the women honored was President Mani, whose remarkable achievements and advocacies embody the Girl Scouts movement.

Her accomplishments as a University President including the recent significant developments of the university and the multitude of community engagement programs she initiated, reflect the enduring impact of scouting among women leaders and trailblazers who continue to serve in Romblon, the country, and abroad.

Ma. Rhosarean A. Solis, council president, delivered the welcome remarks.

In her message, Solis expressed her pride and gratitude for being a leader of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines Romblon Council up to this day.
Messages followed from Mrs. Cynthia Eleonor Manalo, Assistant Secretary Director for Support Services and GSP Commissioner on Administration who applauded all the women of Romblon for their meaningful contributions to the country.

Dr. Ramer Ramos, Provincial Administrator, delivered a message on behalf of Hon. Trina Alejandra Firmalo Fabic, Governor of Romblon.
In his message, Dr. Ramos congratulated the movement for 75 years of actively serving the province, and affirmed the provincial government’s support and commitment to the programs and activities of GSP Romblon.

The council also paid tribute to past council presidents, executives, staff, and current board members.

Local government partners and sponsors were also acknowledged, followed by an anniversary toast and closing remarks by Mrs. May O. Morales, council executive.

Hosted by Mrs. Noemi T. Melano and Mrs. Donnalyn R. Manungag, the program ended with socialization and photo opportunities with the awardees.
The celebration of seven and a half decades of Girl Scouting in Romblon reaffirmed the movement’s role in promoting values of leadership, service, and women’s empowerment.

President Mani extends her gratitude to the GSP Romblon Council for the recognition, and wishes for all the honored women of Romblon to continue inspiring the next generation of proactive women leaders in the province and beyond.
