Public Assistance and Security Office
“The Public Assistance and Security Office (PASO), operating under the Office of the University President and supervised by the PASO Director, is responsible for safeguarding the lives, property, and resources of the University community. PASO carries out a university-wide operation, with every campus deploying dedicated security personnel led by a Team Leader and supported by a PASO Coordinator.
Operating 24/7, PASO provides comprehensive security coverage through proactive patrolling, incident prevention, and rapid emergency response. Personnel conduct routine patrols on foot, in vehicles, and through specialized units to ensure the safety of facilities, equipment, and public spaces. Their duties include securing access points, monitoring for unauthorized activities, managing traffic and crowd situations, and offering assistance to the campus community. Officers also respond promptly to security breaches, facility hazards, and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement, fire, and medical responders when needed.
Beyond its security mandate, PASO extends public assistance services such as personal escorts, parking supervision, and equipment safeguarding. The office also inspects campus facilities to identify and report safety concerns, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
Through vigilance, professionalism, and service-oriented conduct, PASO fosters a secure and orderly campus atmosphere that upholds learning, productivity, and community trust.
