Special Projects and Advocacy Office
The Special Projects and Advocacy Office plays a vital role in advancing the University’s strategic goals through the management of special projects, advocacy initiatives, and volunteer programs. It enhances the campus environment, fosters community engagement, and supports sustainable development through effective coordination and service.
One of its key initiatives is the 7S of Good Housekeeping, a structured approach that promotes workplace organization, cleanliness, safety, and efficiency across the University.
The office also leads the University’s volunteerism programs, encouraging students, faculty, and staff to participate in community outreach and advocacy efforts. These programs build a strong culture of civic responsibility and deepen the University’s ties with the broader community. The office supports volunteer groups, monitors their impact, and facilitates partnerships to maximize reach and effectiveness.
In support of financial sustainability, the office oversees agricultural and income-generating projects, such as crop plantations and farm-based enterprises. These initiatives not only generate additional income for the University but also provide opportunities for practical training, research, and community involvement. Through effective resource management and stakeholder coordination, the office ensures that these projects contribute to both institutional growth and local development.
The office is also responsible for preparing comprehensive accomplishment reports that document the progress, outcomes, and challenges of all ongoing projects. These reports help maintain transparency and inform leadership for better decision-making.
Additionally, it provides technical and administrative support for internally and externally funded initiatives, including budget oversight and compliance with funding guidelines.
Overall, the Special Projects and Advocacy Office is a dynamic unit committed to improving University operations, managing impactful and sustainable projects, and mobilizing volunteerism in alignment with the institution’s mission and community engagement goals.
