A series of groundbreaking ceremonies attended by the top management and officials, members of the technical working group, and project contractors were recently held to celebrate the start of the construction of new state-of-the-art buildings, marking significant milestones in the growth and development of Romblon State University (RSU).
The projects include the Stone Masonry Slope Protection, Repair and Rehabilitation of the University Hostel, Construction of a Two-Storey Data Center, and Construction of a Bio-analytical Laboratory.
The Slope Protection Project is the first to hold its groundbreaking ceremony on January 16, serving as the foundation for the future forest park envisioned by the University.
Also set to undergo a metamorphosis is the University Hostel to be retrofitted into a state-of-the-art structure. Its development renders modernism with the utmost respect for its past, ready to accommodate students, faculty members, and University guests. Its groundbreaking ceremony was held on January 23.
The Bio-analytical Laboratory and the Two-Storey Data Center Projects likewise executed their groundbreaking last January 31. The former aims to meet the demands of the workspace for innovations as part of RSU’s bold competency through research initiatives, while the latter seeks to realize the vision of building a Smart University.
Anchored to the 7th agendum of the University, which stipulates the maximization of support to teaching and learning, these facilities will provide students with a dynamic and supportive learning environment while promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation at RSU. Further, it will enable the University to offer an exceptional campus experience to every RSUvian, its top priority.
