Romblon State University Implements Compressed Workweek and Work-from-Home Scheme

December 27, 2023 – Romblon State University (RSU) is implementing a new Compressed Workweek and Work-from-Home (WFH) scheme for the second semester of 2023-2024. Announced by University President Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani, the policy requires employees to work on campus Monday to Thursday, with Fridays designated for WFH.

This arrangement aims to promote work-life balance while maintaining operational efficiency. It aligns with Civil Service Commission guidelines on flexible work in government institutions. Fridays will be used for faculty development, training, and student contact hours.

The university has provided WFH Monitoring Tools to oversee remote work effectively. This initiative reflects RSU’s commitment to adapting to modern work practices while ensuring quality education and services.

For more information, employees should refer to Memorandum No. 100, s. 2023.
