The Bachelor of Arts in English Language representative emerged as the winner during the Trashion Show Competition held at the RSU Quadrangle on February 13.

Organized by the Supreme Student Council – Main Campus, the event emphasized sustainable fashion by showcasing creative designs produced by RSUvians from various colleges across the main campus.

The activity highlighted the relevance of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, with candidates wearing outfits made from recycled and repurposed materials. In his welcome remarks, S.L. Mark Lambert F. Fornea honored the efforts and camaraderie of student leaders whose collaboration made the event possible.

Among those present were S.P. Irene L. Morgado of District 2, Province of Romblon; Mr. Dave G. Lota of the RSU International Relations Office; and Mr. Thomas Jerome M. Ortiz of Ortiz Drugstore, who served as judges for the Trashion Show Competition.

Hon. S.P. Irene L. Morgado also delivered a message of appreciation, highlighting the importance of responsible consumption by transforming waste into valuable materials through recycling.

“This fashion show isn't simply a show; this is a mission. To our models and designers, walk with confidence because you are wearing advocacy,” she said.

The program also featured the announcement of raffle draw winners prepared by the Supreme Student Council – Main Campus.

Meanwhile, candidate number two from the AB English Student Society, representing the College of Arts and Sciences, was hailed as the champion of the fashion show competition.

The event concluded with a message of appreciation delivered by S.L. Erl Rick Mortel.
