Quality Assurance Office
The Quality Assurance Office (QAO) was established in August 2020 under the leadership of Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani and formally institutionalized through Board Resolution No. 31, s. 2021. Its creation reflects RSU’s commitment to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across the University.
Directly under the Office of the President, the QAO ensures that academic programs, institutional processes, and support services meet established standards and remain responsive to the needs of students and stakeholders. It plays a vital role in strengthening governance, improving instruction, advancing research, sustaining production, and extending community service—all in pursuit of RSU’s mission to provide transformative education.
The office carries out essential functions such as evaluating higher education programs, conducting faculty and staff performance assessments, facilitating accreditation, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and promoting institutional growth and quality enhancement. It also provides technical assistance, leads internal and external assessments, and helps address findings raised by accrediting and assessment bodies.
